Philadelphia Eagles star running back Brian Westbrook was forced to leave Sundays game with the Pittsburgh Steelers in the second quarter following an injury to his right ankle. Westbrook was given an MRI on Monday, which revealed no structural damages. Philadelphia head coach Andy Reid reported that Westbrook is walking with a limp and he most likely will be a game time decision when the Eagles play at the Chicago Bears on Sunday Night Football. The Eagles are a 3-point favorite. New Orleans Saints tight end Jeremy Shockey will undergo surgery for a sports hernia and will be lost for 3-6 weeks. The 7-year veteran was injured during the Saints 34-32 loss at Denver. Shockey was averaging 9.4 yards per reception on the season. The injury takes away another target in the passing game for Saints quarterback Drew Brees. New Orleans starting wide receiver Marques Colston is out for another month after undergoing surgery on his thumb following week 1. The Saints host the much improved San Francisco 49ers on Sunday and New Orleans is a 6-point favorite. Washington Redskins defensive end Jason Taylor will miss the Redskins key NFC East battle with the Dallas Cowboys. In the Redskins 24-17 victory over the Arizona Cardinals this past Sunday Taylor was kicked in the calf. Taylor had blood released from his left calf on Monday after a painful night on Sunday as blood became to pool on his left calf muscle. Redskins head coach Jim Zorn ruled him out for Cowboy game. Dallas is an 11-½ point favorite against their rival from the nations capital. That will do it for todays NFL injury report.
