(NECN: Peter Howe, Boston, Mass.) - The best part of a Charles River field trip for some fifth graders from the Haley School in Roslindale, Massachusetts, is the fact that they build some of the boats there themselves. They built these skiffs themselves as part of a year-long school project with Boston Family Boat Building. From scale drawings, through making patterns, to cutting the boat pieces and assembling the rowboats, these students did it all.
