Big Ben bell returns to action following repairs

The Big Ben bell, in St Stephen's Tower in the Palace of Westminster, have been repaired. The chimes were heard as the clock struck midday on 1st October 2007 after seven weeks of silence. The famous bell has been quiet while engineers made repairs to its clock mechanism.
