Shaq will go down in history as one of the best centers in NBA history despite the fact that right now he is only a shell of what he used to be in his early years. For the first time in his illustrious NBA career he did not make it to the All-Star team this year. Dwight Howard has simply proven himself as the new generation dominant center. Looking at Shaq right now, it's easy to forget that he has won three rings for the Los Angeles Lakers and one for the Miami Heat. In light of Steve Kerr's tumultuous trade by giving up Shawn Marion to the Miami Heat for the Big Diesel, one has to wonder what Kerr was thinking by dismantling an already top performing team. Will the addition of Shaq help the Phoenix Suns finally get their first NBA championships, or did Steve Kerr single handedly destroyed one of the league's best teams? This trade raises many eyebrows because with the Suns' aging roster, the last thing they need is a center past his prime. Some people like this trade, and others (like Kobe Bryant) downright refuse to make any calls. On the other hand, Shaq has always proven his critics wrong. The question is: Can Shaq prove the critics wrong again in 2008?
