
(NECN/WABC: New York, N.Y.) - Thousands of bees forced the closure of an area of sidewalk in New York City, locking shop employees inside the store. The bees emerged from a large beehive on the side of a building at 107 East 14th Street in Union Square. The NYPD finally responded to the scene after hours of good samaritans attempting to clear the buzz from the sidewalk. "When I got here, there was already like a thousand bees in there. Then they came out. They were like, in a pack," said bee watcher Jay Lorenzo. read more
