Football superstar David Beckham has seen his popularity soar as he shot up the world's most powerful celebrity list.Beckham's well documented signing to LA Galaxy in a multi-million five year deal, has seen him jump from 43rd place to 15th with £16.7 million on the poll by Forbes, which highlights the top 100 celebs with the most money and influence.US TV mogul Oprah Winfrey has nabbed the top spot on the list with an empire that includes a hit talk show, satellite radio show, magazine and Broadway musical.Forbes magazine put golfer Tiger Woods - the first sportsman to earn £51 million in a year - in second place, followed by Madonna in third who recently completed a successful tour.British music legends the Rolling Stones and Elton John featured in the top ten of this year's list with an estimated paycheque of £44.6 million and £26.9 million respectively.The success of the Harry Potter films has catapulted its leading stars Daniel Radcliffe and Emma Watson on to the list for the first time after earning £7.6 million and £2 million.The Potter franchise also earned author JK Rowling 48th a place on the poll after she raked in an estimated £16.2 million.The magazine also monitors media coverage and internet presence to compile its top 100 list which includes Hollywood's elite, Brad Pitt, Johnny Depp, Tom Cruise and Angelina Jolie.© Independent Television News Limited 2007.
