Beauty and the beast: Eric Bana unveils new film

He started out as a stand-up comic before becoming an actor. But Australian star Eric Bana is showing off another two strings to his bow. He unveils his passion for motor racing and makes his directorial debut in the documentary Love The Beast. It follows him and his beloved 1974 Ford Falcon coupe which he bought as a teenager. After tinkering with it for over two decades, Eric enters his "beast" into the five day Targa Rally in Tasmania. The 41-year-old is unlikely to be giving up his day job though. His car eventually comes off the road and crashes into tree. It is no surprise to Top Gear host Jeremy Clarkson, who also stars. He tells the actor: "All muscle cars are crap". Fellow car enthusiast Jay Leno also appears in the feature along with Dr Phil McGraw, who both advise the Hollywood hunk whether or not to rebuild his beastie. Love The Beast is in cinemas and is released on DVD on November 16th.
