Barak: Ongoing Kassam Rocket Fire Will Invite A Harsh IDF Response

As IDF troops were winding up yet another incursion in northern Gaza on Thursday in response to the ongoing Kassam rocket fire, Defense Minister Ehud Barak warned that the continued rocket attacks on Israel will invite a harsh military response. During the incursion 7 Palestinians were killed, the majority armed. Over 12 rockets fired at the western Negev on Thursday it appears that in the coming days the IDF will be forced to increase operations in Gaza on the ground and in the air to bring a halt to the incessant rocket fire.07/02/08
