A severe cyclone with winds of up to 155 mph has crashed into Bangladesh, killing at least 328 people.The storm triggered a 15-foot high tidal surge that devastated three coastal towns and forced the evacuation of nearly one million people.Local officials and Red Crescent workers said at least 328 deaths have already been confirmed while hundreds more are injured or missing."The death count is rising fast as we get more information from the affected districts," an official at the food and disaster ministry said.After passing through the capital Dhaka the worst of the cyclone is thought to be over and the attention has now turned to assessing damage and distributing aid.The storm is thought to have been a category four, the largest and strongest.Storms batter the poor south Asian country every year.
