Bagua Xiao Kai Men Zhang

I made this small vid one day after watching many vids here about Bagua (good and bad). I could not help to feel sadden by the state of what many peoples perception of TCMA/IMA are these days. And surely what I do and percive TCMA/IMA is subjective and open for comment.... Forms are forms and should not be the end all to what we are learning. Xiao Kai Men, which literally means 'small opening form', begins by teaching linear and square body movements first, which later stages turn circular and smooth. After the smoothness and basic ideas are understood, we re-apply the linear and square moves to circles and walking the circle... As a baby first steps are in a line first so must we to see clearly how to turn effectively... I talk about theory and ideas on training in levels and stages and what to look for in each... I also demo linear only stages.... Ba Gua is a martial art that employs subtle movement, explosive power and a unique form of maneuvering. I hope all enjoy objectively... mike martello
