Ayesha Lone: Retained Placenta After Pregnancy

It started as a pain in her abdomen. Yet even though doctors told her it was just normal post-delivery discomfort, mother of three Ayesha Lone knew something was going on. She was right. She returned to the hospital the day after to discover she had a retained placenta — after giving birth to her third child, part of her placenta had detached and was not removed during delivery. What happened? Lone had to return to the hospital and have the rest removed, leaving her husband at home to watch after her newborn son and their two older children.
