Assad Confirms, Olmert Remains Silent, The Future Of The Golan Heights Remains Unclear

Syrian President Bashar Assad on Thursday confirmed reports in the Arab media to the effect that Israel had agreed to relinquish the Golan Heights in exchange for peace with Syria, a deal that Prime Minister Ehud Olmert reportedly relayed via Turkish Prime Minister Erdogan in recent days.
