Anti Social Behaviour: Home Office advise public against confronting gangs

The Home Office has clarified its advice to anyone witnessing anti-social behaviour, saying they should call the police rather than intervene themselves. It comes in the middle of a growing debate about how to control drunken, and often violent, gangs of teenagers, just days after Gary Newlove was killed confronting youths outside his home. We meet other men who paid a terrible price for standing up to yobs.
