Anti Social Behaviour: Home Office advise public against confronting gangs

The Home Office has clarified its advice to anyone witnessing anti-social behaviour, saying they should call the police rather than intervene themselves. It comes in the middle of a growing debate about how to control drunken, and often violent, gangs of teenagers, just days after Gary Newlove was killed confronting youths outside his home.
