Air New Zealand Earnings Plunge

26th August 2008 Air New Zealand has been hit by soaring Jet Fuel prices and it's pre-tax earnings have plunged 24% over the previous year to NZ$197m. The CEO Rob Fyfe is predicting turbulent times for the airline industry both here and abroad. Airlines of the world are totally dependant on having cheap and easy oil. Without that they are doomed.
