Ahmed Rahim, Numi Tea at 2009 Full Circle Fund Member Retreat

Full Circle Fund - www.fullcirclefund.org Ahmed Rahim is the master blender, alchemist, CEO and co-founder behind Numi Organic Tea. Before starting the Numi business in 1999 with his sister, Reem, Ahmed lived and worked in Europe for ten years. In the early part of the 1990s, Ahmed lived in Paris working as a professional film maker and photographer focusing on fashion, with works published in international trade and fashion journals. He also spent the better part of two years photographing in challenged and developing countries such as Turkey, Iraq and Morocco. Ahmed eventually returned to Europe but this time he ended up in the German Alps where he continued his artistic expression in the music scene, performing himself. After one year, Ahmed was led to Prague where he spent the next six years in film-making and photography. During his stay in Prague, Ahmed was asked to help create and design teahouses. He then became a partner in a teahouse and helped expand and grow the business. Ahmed recalls serving 900 pots of tea a day. As part of NUMI's commitment to global consciousness and environmental responsibility, NUMI's teas are certified organic and Fair Trade and packaging is made of sustainable material. The teabags are fully biodegradable, compostable and GMO FREE. NUMI's innovation continues with its "Leaves of Art" hand-sewn and handcrafted Flowering Tea™ line.
