AFRICA: GUINEA-BISSAU - 2008

The European Commission is producing a series of video stockshots on Africa which will include general shots and illustrations of EU projects currently being undertaken in different African countries. "Guinea-Bissau - 2008" is part of the first series and is released to coincide with Africa Day which takes place on 25/05/2008 and covers: - general views of Barro and S£o Vicente villages, - food security project aimed at stopping seawater contaminating rice fields, - food security projects covering training in fishing, fish processing and marketing, - bridge building (construction of the S£o Vicente Bridge), over the Cacheu River.
