AFGHANISTAN: Civilian deaths - Karzai calls for more care

The Afghan President, Hamid Karzai, has called for greater care to be taken by the allied forces fighting insurgents in his country. He said they were becoming "careless" and cited a spate of civilian deaths - including 25 killed in an air strike on a compound on Friday. Altogether 230 civilians are reported to have died this year alone in clashes with the Taliban.
