Aerosmith return to London

Aerosmith have announced their first London show in nearly eight years.The band will headline the Hyde Park Calling festival on June 24.Guitarist Joe Perry said: "I think all we can do is lay it out there why we are the band we are."Its been eight years and I think we need to remind everybody."Aerosmith have been among rock music's most prolific bands since first breaking big in the 1970s with hit singles such as Walk This Way and Sweet Emotion.They suffered a lull in the 1980s, but rebounded with 1987 album Permanent Vacation, which included the single Dude (Looks Like a Lady).Tyler is the father of Hollywood actress Liv Tyler.© Independent Television News Limited 2007.
