A bull's revenge on matador

A rising star matador has been gored by a bull in Colombia.Jesus Martinez, 21, needed gland surgery in Bogota after the attack by a bull he had already stabbed 12 times.Experts claim the animal made a mysterious recovery and fought back, plunging a horn into the Spaniard's neck.Bullfighting announcer Valdivio Cepeda said: "He managed to lift the matador twice and left him with injuries to his neck and back."Martinez insists he has not been put off by the attack and plans to carry on bullfighting.The bull was killed after several attempts, when arena workers managed to sedate it and cut its cervical vein.© Independent Television News Limited 2007.
