It's the 6th of May, and near to the television studios in Hilversum, tabloid photographer, Jim de Booy, takes photos of hot young soap star, Birgit Maas. It's a warm, sunny day like any other. Or so it would seem... Behind Jim and Birgit, a group of men gather, a police car passes, and a driver waits impatiently in a Volkswagen car. Just as Jim and Birgit wrap up their photoshoot, the Volkswagon roars to life, colliding with Jim's motorbike. Angry, Jim takes photos of the disappearing car, when suddenly his attention is turned to the sound of six gun shots. With a photojournalist's instinct Jim races to the scene with his camera only to find his path blocked by a line of policemen, already closing off the area. A high profile politician has been murdered in the streets outside the TV station. When the driver of the Volkswagon turns up dead, dragged from the river, Jim realises his photos of the car could be dynamite. But the stakes are much higher now as Jim tracks down the only living witness, the political activist Ayse, and both become targets for the secret services they believe are implicated in the assassination. A dangerous game of cat and mouse has started revealing a political conspiracy that might lead all the way to the top.
