Kylie steps back in time with Doctor Who

Filming has started in Wales for the Christmas special of Doctor Who.The show features a number of celebrity cameos and includes an appearance by Kylie Minogue.The singer has been cast as Astrid a waitress on the Titanic and appears alongside actor David Tennant.The episode, Voyage Of The Damned, began filming in Cardiff this month.The story follows on directly from the ending of the third series, when viewers saw the Titanic ship crash through the Tardis's walls.Sitcom actors Geoffrey Palmer and Clive Swift will also play lead roles in the Christmas episode.The fourth series of Doctor Who will feature comedienne Catherine Tate as an assistant.© Independent Television News Limited 2007.
