Dance contest is a hit for the Brits

Cat Deeley has made her mark in the States by hosting the second series of the hit show So You Think You Can Dance. Black Eyed Peas singer Fergie performed on the programme, as did Ciara, who said she is hooked on the programme along with millions of fans around the world. Former Popstars judge Nigel Lythgoe was part of the panel that whittled down twenty finalists, leaving Benji Schwimmer to be crowned America's favourite dancer at the end of the grand final. He picked up a $100,000 (£52,800) prize, a car and a year's contract to appear in a Celine Dion production in Las Vegas.
