And the Lola goes to...the winners of the 57th German Film Prize FOUR MINUTES was the surprise winner for Best Film at the German Film Prize. Chris Kraus’ prison drama also won a Golden Lola for Best Actress Monica Bleibtreu. The Bavaria tragicomedy GRAVE DECISIONS from first time director Marcus H. Rosenmüller and the literary adaptation PERFUME – THE STORY OF A MURDERER both won runner-up Silver Lolas for Best Film as well as Golden Lolas in other categories. Monica Bleibtreu – An Actress with a Love of Extremes It was a big night for Monica Bleibtreu. On her 63rd birthday she won the Lola for Best Actress for playing a bitter 80-year-old piano teacher in prison drama FOUR MINUTES. A veteran theatre actress, Bleibtreu first attracted attention off the stage for her performance as Mrs. Thomas Mann in Heinrich Breloers’ Emmy-winning mini-series on the Noble Prize winning novelist.
