The family of a 9/11 victim have released the tape of his emergency call in the seconds after the first plane hit the World Trade Centre. Christopher Hanley was killed on September 11th 2001 when a plane flew into the 105th floor of his tower. His office was on the 106th floor. With smoke rising towards his window, Christopher described what was happening. He can be heard saying: 'There is fire and smoke. We have about 100 people here. We can't get down the stairs.' 'Sit Tight. We're on our Way', the operator told him. The family made the decision to make the tape public in an attempt to find out exactly how the emergency services dealt with the situation. The recording is one of 27 calls made from the Twin Towers, all of which are being released, but the other victims' voices will be disguised.
