4/27/09 - Air Force One & Military Jet Flies Over Lower Manhattan, Scaring New Yorkers!

It's Monday morning, April 27th, 2009. We live in a high-rise in Tribeca (facing Ground Zero). At around 10 am, we were very startled to look out our window and see a huge plane flying by, followed by a military jet. My husband and I freaked out thinking it was a highjacking or a mechanical failure. It circled by at least 3 times, flying very close to our building. We noticed that people were evacuating out of their buildings into the street down below. We just found out that it was a "photo shoot" between the FAA and the military (and that the bigger plane was Air Force One?) I think it's very insensitive and cruel that they didn't give New Yorkers the heads up about this so-called photo shoot. A lot of people in lower Manhattan, including my husband, are still traumatized by 9/11! From reading the blogs, a lot of people are furious, including us! I almost had a heart attack seeing the plane circling towards our building! Didn't they think of using PHOTO-SHOP? Something doesn't add up here.
