2-Good Innovations are Rewardable-IslamLehrer habashis -البدعة - al ahbash - الأحباش

Praise be to Allah. We humbly ask Allah to raise the rank of Prophet Muhammad, the Trustworthy. Thereafter, among the sayings of the Prophet that indicates the classification of Innovations into two types, is the hadith related by Imam Muslim in his Sahih. Imam Muslim related, in his Sahih, that "The Prophet, peace be upon him, said: "The one who innovates, a good innovation in Islam has its reward and a reward similar to those who follow him in it--until the Day of Judgment--without lessening their reward; and The one who innovates, in Islam, an innovation of misguidance would be sinful for it and has sins similar to those who follow him in it--until the Day of Judgment--without lessening their sins." It is understood from this that the Messenger of Allah classified the Innovation into two types: Innovation of guidance (a Good Bid^ah that is innovated in accordance with the Qur'an and the Hadith. And Innovation of misguidance (a Bad bid^ah): That is innovated in violation to the Qur'an and the Hadith. Allah Knows best. Shaykh Gilles Sadek
