(NECN) - NECN meteorologist Matt Noyes says severe thunderstorm watches and tornado watches are in effect for parts of New England today. A tornado watch is posted for Western New England until 6pm and a severe thunderstorm watch is posted for much of New Hampshire and Maine until 10pm. Damaging thunder is also possible in Eastern Massachusetts. It is hazy, hot and humid today, highs in the 90s, approaching 100 degrees inland, with low 80s on the immediate coast. Maine should only see highs in the low 70s with an onshore wind.
