      Go to www.blinkx.com. In the search box, type whatever it is that interests you. blinkx will crawl the web looking for relevant video and bring it back to you in a list of results.
  		• What does blinkx do? »
      blinkx is the world's largest video search engine. That means, people use blinkx to search through the entire Web for the videos they want.

  		• How can I refine my search? »
      blinkx searches contextually as well as with standard keyword search functions. Therefore, you can refine your search by adding in words to make it more specific. You can also use search terms such as AND, OR and NOT. You can also use our advanced search function.
  		• What does Safe Search mean? »
      Safe Search is blinkx's adult content filter. When Safe Search is turned on, all adult material is filtered out of the results set rendering the search family friendly.
  		• I can't change my Safe Search settings. »
      The safe search feature uses cookies to store whether the filter is on or off. If you have disabled cookies in your browser then the filter will not work correctly.
  		• What does advanced search mean? »
      Advanced Search helps users to better refine their searches.
  		• How do I use Advanced Search? »
      Advanced Search gives users many differing ways to search through blinkx's index. You can choose to click on individual partners' channels located on the right of the page. You can refine your search by adding in words to the provided parameters such as with the exact phrase or without the words. In addition, blinkx lets you search results that filter content based on whether that content has preview videos or can be watched completely through the blinkx player. Just type your search term in whatever box suits you and chose from the kinds of video you want to see.
  		• What does Full Direct Play mean in advanced search? »
      When doing an advanced search, an option you have is to filter the results so that only video clips that play from start to finish on the blinkx site will be returned.
  		• What does Only Direct Play Videos mean? »
      When doing an advanced search, another option you have is to filter the results so that video clips which play 10 second previews as well as clips that play from start to finish on the blinkx site will be returned.
  		• What is the difference between the two? »
      Full Direct Play excludes any 10 second preview clips and clips with no previews from the results set.

  		• How do I submit content? »
      Go to www.blinkx.com/rssupload or located at the bottom of the blinkx home page, click on "Submit RSS". When you are there, enter in the URL of your RSS feed and a valid email address. Click "upload and verify feed". It's as simple as that.
  		• How do I submit blinkx searches to my RSS reader? »
      Do a search on blinkx. When you get your list of results, you will see an orange RSS button on the top left hand corner of the list. Right click and copy the link location. Then paste that link location into your RSS reader of choice. blinkx will automatically update daily.
  		• Why does my RSS reader return different results from my blinkx search? »
      When you do a standard blinkx search, the results come back in order of relevance to your search term. If you reorganize your list by date, then both lists in your RSS reader and on blinkx should match.
  		• When I submit my content to blinkx, what does "Create full-length previews of my content for optional playback at blinkx.com and on the 3rd-party blinkx distribution service. (If unchecked, we will create only length-restricted previews of your content)" mean? Or How will this affect my video on blinkx? »
      If you check the box, then blinkx will automatically play your clip from start to finish in the player on the blinkx site. If you leave the box unchecked, only a 10 second preview of your clip will be shown on blinkx.

  		• What do the little symbols on the lower right hand corner of each result mean? »
     
    - indicates that this video has a preview which will be played in the blinkx player located to the left.
    - this icon allows users to automatically add the clip to their playlist without having to drag and drop.
    - indicates that the file being played is an FLV file.
    - indicates that the file being played is a WMV file.
  		• What do the symbols at the bottom of the video player mean? »
     
    - these buttons control the video. You can pause, play and stop the video at any time.
    - this bar shows the progress of the video.
    - these buttons allow you to move from the current video playing to the previous or to the next result in the list.
    - allows you to change the volume of the video.
    - this results lets users watch videos in full screen.
    - shows you have muted or turned off the sound in the blinkx player.
    - shows you have un-muted or turned on the sound in the blinkx player.
  		• What does "Wall It" mean? »
      When you "Wall It", blinkx takes the video results list from your search and makes a 5x5 video wall exactly as the one on the homepage - which you can embed in your blog, Myspace or webpage.
  		• How do I embed the video wall? »
      At the bottom of the page with your personalized video wall, there will be a piece or code starting with "embed". Copy this code and place it onto your site.
  		• How do I use "Movie Mode"? »
      Just click on the Movie Mode link. blinkx will automatically open a window that will begin playing the results continuously until the end of the page.
  		• What do I use "Movie Mode" for? »
      You can use "Movie Mode" to watch all the previews in the results list in full screen mode continuously. At the bottom of Movie Mode, you can navigate back and forth through the results list as well as read descriptions of each video clip.
  		• What is a preview?  »
      A preview is a 10-30 second clip of a video. It plays the relevant part of the video to give the user an idea of what the clip is about. If the user decides they like the clip, they can click through and watch the full video at our partner's site.
  		• Why do some results play all the way through? »
      blinkx partners with many companies to gain legitimate access to their content. Some of those partnerships allow blinkx to play full clips directly from the blinkx player.
  		• What does "Matching Channels" mean? »
      There are many channels within blinkx. Channels are videos that have been grouped together by their context or by the company where the video resides. In advanced search, you can search by company names such as BBC or Rollingstone. When you do a search, "Matching Channels" are channels that contextually match your search. It's kind of like "If you are interested in this, why not check out this?"
  		• What is "My Playlist"? »
      "My Playlist" lets users drag and drop favorite videos from many different searches into one gigantic custom made playlist which can be watched in Movie Mode, emailed to friends and even made into a wall to embed into blogs.
  		• How do I use "My Playlist"? »
      To use "My Playlist", just drag and drop the video of your choice into the playlist. There it will be saved until you empty the list. Or, you can click the icon at the bottom of the result and the video will automatically be added to your list.
