S. Brian Mukherjee, Chief Executive Officer
Brian brings over 12 years of executive management and operating experience at Public and Private companies in the technology and media sectors to the CEO role. Brian joined blinkx in 2011 through the acquisition of Prime Visibility Media Group, Inc. (PVMG), where he was the President & CEO and was instrumental in its rapid growth and eventual sale to blinkx. Prior to PVMG, Brian was the SVP & Group MD at Miva, Inc. (NASDAQ:MIVA), responsible for its Media Division, with operations in the US, UK, Germany, France, Spain, Italy and India, which he helped turn around and sell. Earlier, as VP & GM, he acquired and ran the Contract Management Solutions business of Selectica, Inc. (NASDAQ: SLTC) where he helped transform the Enterprise Software offering to one of the earliest SaaS models in the sector, accelerating revenue growth and profitability. Before Selectica, Brian held executive, staff and line management positions at two venture backed Internet marketing and advertising startups where he played pivotal roles in raising capital, acquiring companies and building high performance teams. Brian started his career as an Engineer and worked as a Strategy Consultant at CapGemini Ernst & Young. Brian holds BE (Honors) and MS (Honors) degrees in Engineering, and an MBA (Honors) from the University of Chicago, Booth School of Business.
Suranga Chandratillake, President and Chief Strategy Officer
A technology entrepreneur with over a decade of experience in next-generation search, Suranga Chandratillake founded blinkx in 2004 and launched the company in 2005. After early success, Suranga took the company public on the London Stock Exchange in May 2007. Prior to founding blinkx, Suranga was U.S. CTO of Autonomy Corporation, responsible for growing Autonomy's research and development division in the United States. Before joining Autonomy, Suranga held a variety of roles in technology, sales and marketing at Morgan Stanley, netdecisions and anondesign. Suranga received his MA in Computer Science from the University of Cambridge.
A highly regarded expert on the convergence of the Web and TV, including the future of television, interactive TV and online advertising, Suranga is often invited to speak at leading industry events including Financial Times' Digital Media Conference, Cannes Lions International Advertising Festival and Monaco Media Forum. Named a Young Global Leader Honoree in 2009 by the World Economic Forum, Suranga has also been recognized as one of the top 10 leaders in Science and Innovation by The Observer's Future 500 list, and one of Digital Media Wire's "25 Executives to Watch in Digital Entertainment".
Edward Reginelli, Chief Financial Officer
Edward Reginelli joined blinkx in April 2012 as Senior Vice President and Group Controller. He has over 15 years of experience, managing all aspects of financial accounting, controls, analysis, operations and reporting in complex corporate environments. Edward became blinkx’s Chief Financial Officer in December 2012.
Before joining blinkx, he was Vice President of Finance and Corporate Controller at Purple Communications, Inc., a company that specialized in technology enabled interpreting and telecommunication services. Prior to this he served as Chief Financial Officer and a Director of Burke Industries, Inc. and held other senior financial positions at Compass Aerospace, PPG Industries and Nestle USA.
Mr. Reginelli holds a B.S in Business Administration and Accounting from John Carroll University, Ohio and is a registered Certified Public Accountant.
Matthew Scheybeler, Chief Technology Officer
Matt Scheybeler joined blinkx in 2004 as a technical director. He began his career at Autonomy Corporation, where he spent three years, advancing from programmer to team leader. While at Autonomy, Matt became highly proficient in rich media-related technology. Prior to joining blinkx, he founded his own consultancy firm, Automatic Software, where he worked with a variety of mobile and enterprise search companies. Matt holds a BSc in Artificial Intelligence and Computer Science from Edinburgh University.
Julia Blystone, Chief Marketing Officer
Julia Blystone joined blinkx in 2007 with over 12 years previous experience in communications. Julia was a vice president at OutCast Communications and has worked with a wide variety of hardware and software vendors including Autodesk, blinkx, Good Technology, Sun Microsystems and Wyse Technology. Prior to OutCast, Julia was a manager in Epicentric's public relations group and also ran public relations for Compaq's Telecommunications division while working at Blanc & Otus. Her public relations career began at GCI Group. Julia graduated cum laude from Middlebury College.
Frank Pao, Chief Business Officer
Frank Pao has over 14 years of executive management experience within the technology industry, encompassing both venture-funded and public companies. Prior to joining blinkx, he served as president and chief executive officer of intelligent video analytics company Vidient Systems, where he led the turnaround of the company resulting in a sale to Agilence in 2011. Before that, he was president of Verity and chief operating officer, U.S. at Autonomy, where he had full operating responsibility for both organizations, and helped drive and integrate several successful acquisitions. Previously, Frank was senior vice president, Business Affairs at Virage, a leader in video search which he helped to take public. Earlier, he specialized in intellectual property and licensing transactions at the law firm of Gray Cary Ware & Freidenrich. Frank holds a B.S. in bioengineering from the University of California at Berkeley and a J.D. from Boalt Hall School of Law at the University of California at Berkeley.
