Online Voting Poll Open to Public to Select the Top 100 Winners

SAN FRANCISCO, CALIF. - May 29, 2007 - blinkx, the world’s largest video search engine, today announced that it has been selected by the editors at CNET Webware as a finalist in the first ever “Webware 100” awards for its video search engine, www.blinkx.com,in the data category. From more than 4,000 user-submitted nominations, blinkx was chosen as a finalist for the “Webware 100” Awards. Winners will be announced on Monday, June 18 and posted on Webware.com, a CNET site.

As the pioneer in video search technology, blinkx has built a reputation as the smartest way to find rich media online. blinkx has indexed over 12,000,000 hours of audio, video, viral and TV content, and made it fully searchable for free to users on the Web. The ten categories are Browsing (web browsers, extensions, widgets, and security); Communications (e-mail, chat, VOIP); Community (social networks, groups); Data (search, storage, backup, sharing, and sync); Entertainment (games and contests); Media (audio, video, photo); Mobile (portable utilities and apps); Productivity (apps, business tools, commerce); Publishing (blogging, web content, design tools); and Reference (mapping, reference works, and education).
