Video search engine blinkx today reported a near-doubling of first-half profits as it signed more deals to improve the quality of content it carries.
The Cambridge-based firm said revenues to end-September increased by 63% to $44.6 million (£28 million), while headline profits rose 96% to $4.9 million.
blinkx, which claims to be the biggest video search engine in the world, said: "progress in the first half has been extremely encouraging and, whilst we are mindful of the general economic uncertainty, current trading remains strong, giving us confidence."
